Do I need ZUFISO as my accountant to use Cleva?No. Accounting firms and companies can use the software themselves. If you would rather hand it over, you give the engagement to ZUFISO.

Where is my data processed?In Switzerland. The database and files of Cleva Lohn & Faktura are in Zurich, the AI models run in Microsoft Azure in Zurich, and Cleva Accounts runs on our server in Switzerland.
Is the software available in English?Yes, Cleva Lohn & Faktura is: every user can switch between German and English in the user menu. Cleva Accounts and the employee app are currently in German. Quotes, invoices and emails from invoicing go out in German, French, Italian or English.
Does Cleva post bookings on its own?Cleva proposes bookings, each with its reasoning. Anything unclear comes to you as a question. Nothing is posted until you approve it.
Is Cleva Swissdec-certified?Not yet. We start certification in 2027; it will be completed in 2028 at the earliest. Until then you receive all payroll reports as files and submit them yourself. If you have outsourced your accounting to ZUFISO, we submit them for you.
Can I use Cleva alongside Abacus or Banana?Yes. We set up the connection when you start.
Which social insurances does payroll cover?AHV, ALV, BVG, UVG and NBU, KTG, FAK and withholding tax, configured per company and year.
What do my employees need?A smartphone. The app is free for them. They use it to record time, holidays and expenses and to find their payslips.
Can I create QR-bills with Cleva?Yes. Invoicing creates invoices with a QR payment part to the Swiss standard, with QR-IBAN and reference, as PDF and on the document page.
Will my customers see my company colours?Yes. The document page and emails show your logo and accent colour. Cleva only appears small in the footer.
I’m a private individual. Am I in the right place?For your private tax return there is Taxley, also by ZUFISO. From CHF 39, every return checked by a tax professional.
